Confession: I am completely obsessed with this panther mosaic art piece! I bought it for $10 at Berry Good Buys (one of my favorite local thrift stores). It’s seriously heavy and I have no idea where I’m going to put it…but I LOVE it. It’s funky and quirky and so completely me. I found the set of six vintage books by O’Henry for $5 at a flea market. Now, it’s probable that I won’t actually read the novels. I love to read but with my crazy life I struggle to find the time. However, with titles like Whirligigs and Options I must say I’m tempted (what?…these titles don’t intrigue you?). My sister Heather is a total bookworm and thinks I’m crazy to buy books that I have no intention of reading. The truth is, whenever I buy vintage books, the titles have to be at least somewhat as interesting as the covers are attractive. Because one of these days my life will slow down and I’ll have the time to read The Trimmed Lamp.
The polka dot blue bowl was thrifted for $2. I never pass up cute bowls. They are perfect for jewelry, keys, pocket change, and cut limes for happy hour (right?!). Or sometimes I just set them on a stack of books to look pretty on a shelf or table. The vases were thrifted for $3 each. I love the color combo of mint green and black. This dip dye look is everywhere…from furniture to fabrics, even hair. I think it’s fresh and chic and have been “dying” to try it on something in my house. (Ok, no more bad jokes, I promise).
I’m curious, what do you think of my quirky panther art? Am I crazy or is it seriously AMAZING? Be honest. You won’t hurt my feelings (because I consider being called crazy a compliment).
